Joe Biden raves about running mate Kamala Harris on social media
When I chose you as my running mate, Biden wrote on Instagram, I knew you would be ready not just for the campaign trail, but to help me lead our country on day one. Tonight, voters will get to see first hand what I’ve known for a while — that you are going to be an incredible Vice President of the United States.
Biden also tweeted:
Folks, I know a thing or two about vice presidential debates. In 2008, I squared off against Governor Palin. And in 2012, I called out Congressman Ryan’s malarkey. I know Kamala Harris will do a great job. Join me and tune in at 9 PM ET to cheer her on.
The first Black and Indian American woman to represent California in the United States Senate, Kamala Harris, 55, grew up believing in the promise of America and fighting to make sure that promise is fulfilled for all Americans. Kamala’s father immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica to study economics and her mother immigrated from India. Kamala’s mother told her growing up “Don’t sit around and complain about things, do something,” which is what drives Kamala every single day.
