A surveillance camera captured the moment two “brazen killers” shot and killed a man in Florida last month in an ambush attack outside of a shopping center.
The masked gunmen opened fire on the unidentified victim as he sat in his vehicle that was parked outside of the Town ‘n’ Country shopping center in Tampa just before 5 p.m. on April 23, authorities said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office released a surveillance video in which two of the masked shooters are seen shooting with handguns before retreating back into a waiting SUV that was parked near the victim’s car.
The third suspect wielding what appeared to be an assault rifle can also be seen slipping back into the SUV, the video clip shows.
While fleeing the scene, one of the suspects again shoots toward the victim from the backseat of the SUV.
The suspects remained at large as of late Thursday.
The sheriff’s office called the shooting “an isolated incident” and said there was no threat to the public.
