According to an announcement made on Thursday morning, Wendy Williams is still battling ongoing health issues, therefore, will not be premiering Season 13.
“Wendy will not be returning with new shows on Oct. 4,” the statement reads, “She has been and continues to be under a doctor’s care and is still not ready to return to work.”
The statement confirms that her covid case is no longer an issue as Williams tested negative for the virus. However, the statement reports that the 57-year-old daytime talk show host is currently dealing with ongoing medical problems. It is unclear what health issues Williams is dealing with.
While the show will return with new episodes on Oct. 18, the announcement notably says Williams will not return as she is under a doctor’s care and still not ready to resume work. The announcement comes days after Williams was reportedly checked into a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
A source exclusively told Page Six that the decision to push the Season 13 premiere of Williams’ daytime talk show again was a last-minute call.
