A Florida high school runner was viciously sucker-punched during a race over the weekend. The violence act occurred on Saturday at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Osceola County, Florida.
The violent incident occurred during a 1,600-meter race. According to people who witnessed the incident, the athlete who threw the punch was not involved in the race. He was standing on the track and reportedly got furious when the runner told him to get out of the way.
During the next lap, instead of getting out of the way, the athlete reportedly tackled the first place runner, who pushed him over.
That was when he chased the runner and knocked him down.
Officers were called to the scene but it wasn’t immediately clear if any charges were filed.
