A female personal trainer in the United States has been praised on social media for confronting a “creepy” guy at the gym who was staring at her while she exercised.
Heidi Aragon, who posts to the popular video-sharing platform TikTok under the handle @fit_with_heidi, shared the clip with the caption: “Don’t sit there and tell me you’re not doing something; when I have proof.”
In the short clip, Aragon placed her smartphone on a bench to film herself while doing squats. She then stopped when she spotted the man walking over.
“This creepy old guy at the gym kept coming over and staring at me,” she explained. So I told my husband, and he came over and worked out next to me.”
The presence of Aragon’s husband, though, did little to deter the creepy old guy, who continued to stare at the woman.
“I thought he got the picture. I attempted to do my set. Then I got fed up and went over and addressed him,” she added.
After walking out of the shot, Aragon can be heard telling the man to “stop this.”
“I told him if he’s gonna work out in this corner, he needed to stop staring and making me uncomfortable – his response was, ‘I’m just looking around’,” she said.
“I then told him I record my workouts and I have him on film. He shut up real quick.”
After she posted the clip on TikTok, Aragon was praised by her followers for sticking up for herself and calling the man on his behavior.
