Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, 94, and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, 99, celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary on Friday. The Royal Family’s Instagram account released a photo in which Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are seen looking at an anniversary card made by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, alongside other cards and letters sent by well-wishers.
“This new image has been released to mark the 73rd wedding anniversary of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh tomorrow.” The caption reads.
The photograph was taken by Getty Images Royal Photographer, Chris Jackson, in the Oak Room at Windsor Castle earlier this week.
The Royal Family also released another throwback photo of The Queen and The Duke, pictured in 1947 on their honeymoon at Broadlands in Hampshire, thanking everyone for their kind wishes for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh on their 73rd Wedding Anniversary.
