Sylvester Stallone took to Instagram on Friday to shared an inspirational note about how he began as a struggling actor but didn’t give up on his dreams.
“I remember this day well (referring to a black and white photo he shared alongside the message). It was about 4:30 in the freezing morning , and I was sitting on the steps waiting for the next shot wondering am I fooling myself? Is this just a dream that’s going to crash and burn or become a flame that light it’s way to the future. Luckily it turned out to be something more than I ever hoped. It turned out to be The best thing ever… it proved that as impossible as your dreams may seem , because my life was based on that, “impossible dreams” it made me believe that no matter how overwhelming the odds are that the fights not over until it’s over.”
Stallone, 74, whose full name is Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, began as a struggling actor for a couple of years upon arriving to New York City in 1969. He was paid $200 for his first starring role in the 1970 film ‘The Party at Kitty and Stud’s’.
