The Atlanta Hawks have announced in a tweet on Monday that they have signed free agent guard Rajon Rondo. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but sources told ESPN that guard Rajon Rondo agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract with the Hawks.
“Rajon is an intense competitor, a proven winner and a true student of the game. His resume and experience speak for themselves. We’re excited to add him to our group.” said Hawks President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Travis Schlenk.
Born Rajon Pierre Rondo February 22, 1986, Rondo last played for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rondo played two years of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before he was drafted 21st overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft.
