- You must be enrolled in the first year of the University of Newcastle’s B Innovation and Entrepreneurship program or B Business degree (including combination).
- It is not appropriate for you to have finished an undergraduate degree program in Australia before.
- Be enrolled in a full-time taught program.
- Enroll at one of the campuses in Newcastle.
- Showcase the repercussions of educational disadvantages, such as the burden of being a caregiver or single parent, financial difficulties, a chronic illness, a disability, the aftereffects of abuse that persist, a remote or regional disadvantage, and challenges with the English language.
- Applications with attributes such as being an Indigenous Australian, being the child of refugees, or being placed with an out-of-home care provider will also be taken into account for equity scholarships.
- Candidates must possess an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of 75 or higher.
- Applicants must be nationals or citizens of Australia or have an Australian Permanent Resident (including New Zealand Permanent Residents).
- Candidates who have previously received this scholarship are not eligible
- Recipients of this scholarship are not allowed to be recipients of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship.
