A 31-year-old New Orleans, Louisiana man is awaiting arrest in the hospital after a witness stabbed him multiple times while attempting to rob a woman, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police say the suspect, identified as Lorris Puckett. attempted to snatch a 37-year-old woman’s purse in the 1000 block of Canal Street just after 11:30 a.m. on Wed., May 11, WAFB reported.
During the struggle, a male good Samaritan came to the woman’s aid and stabbed Puckett multiple times.
Puckett was taken to a nearby hospital where he is being treated. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. The woman was not injured during the struggle, cops said.
