Its time for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona as his contract with the club has been leaked by Spanish newspaper El Mundo without his permission. The publication claims Lionel Messi is earning over €555million across his four-year contract with the club.
Barcelona have denied leaking the details of Messi’s €555M ($674M) contract and have threatened to sue the newspaper responsible for the publication. Barcelona promises to take appropriate legal action against the Spanish newspaper El Mundo after it published details of the contract Lionel Messi signed in 2017.
The €555M ($674M) contract equates to $168M a year.

In a statement published on the Club’s official website, FC Barcelona expresses its absolute support for Lionel Messi, especially in the face of any attempt to discredit his image, and to damage his relationship with the entity where he has worked to become the best player in the world and in football history.
According to several reports, this leak may not be welcomed by Messi. His current contract at Barcelona expires in the summer. Should he remain a one-man club or move elsewhere?
