Here is a quick bio about Jessica Alba, including her age, net worth, husband, children, her latest movies and TV shows.
Early Life
Jessica Alba was born in Pomona, California. Her father’s name is Mark David Alba and her mother is Catherine Louisa. She has a younger brother whose name is Joshua. She was nine years old when her father’s Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before settling back in Claremont, California.
Education and Illness
During childhood, Jessica suffered from partially collapsed lungs twice, had pneumonia four to five times a year, as well as a ruptured appendix and a tonsillar cyst. She has also had asthma since she was a child. Jessica became isolated from other children at school, because she was in the hospital so often due to her illnesses that no one knew her well enough to befriend her. She has said that her family’s frequent moving also contributed to her isolation from her peers. Jessica graduated from Claremont High School at age 16, and she subsequently attended the Atlantic Theater Company.
“As a young kid, I saw lots of boys and girls in my neighborhood who looked like me. However, in Hollywood and entertainment, I never saw anyone that I felt represented me. There was never anyone holding open any doors or offering guidance – instead, it was me knocking through doors basically doing everything I could just to be given a shot. As a result, I’ve committed my life and career to supporting the needs of our community as they pertain to business, health + wellness, opportunities, and most importantly, representation. I believe that if we are all unidos and show up as a community, we will be the change we want to see for ourselves, for our children, and for many generations to come.”
