Sylvester Stallone has joined the Action/Superhero movie ‘The Suicide Squad’, Director James Gunn confirmed on Instagram Saturday.
Gunn took to social media to announce the news as he praised Stallone, 74, for being such an amazing actor.
“Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on #TheSuicideSquad was no exception. Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don’t have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is.” Gun wrote in the caption.
Stallone immediately replied Gunn in the comment section:
“James, Coming from a tireless And amazing Director , I consider that to be the Paramount of compliments! Keep punching, Sly.”
Stallone also confirmed the news on his Instagram page by sharing a screenshot from DEADLINE.
“Working with this incredible Director on this astounding project has made this an amazing year. I am a very lucky man to be surrounded by such talent.! #Warner Bros.” Stallone shared.
The Suicide Squad which is set for release on 4th of August 2021, will also star Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Pete Davidson as Richard Hertz/ Blackguard, John Cena as Peacemaker, Idris Elba as Bloodsport and Nathan Fillion as Floyd Belkin/ T. D. K.
