A new advertisement from Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis highlights fed-up emigrants, including former New Yorkers who have settled in the Sunshine State.
The advert was filmed during spring break in New Smyrna Beach with a spot that encourages viewers to “Vote Free, and ” Be Free,” while displaying an animated photo of the polarizing governor in a pair of aviator sunglasses.
One woman declares during the interview that ” I’m a New Yorker. And now I’m living in Florida.”
When quizzed where her native soil ranks in terms of general freedom, another New York City escapee answered: “I think we’re pretty much at the bottom.” “You number zero,” a DeSantis aide interjected.
The ad then flashes pictures of Queens Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez clutching an alfresco cocktail during her December vacation in Miami.
A Pennsylvania woman, who relocated to Florida, was quizzed about the state of affairs in her native state.
” I hate it,” the woman replied, denouncing Gov. Tom Wolf and praising DeSantis. Another woman also talked about how people are desperate to be in the state of Florida. “People desire to be here. People want to be in the state of Florida,” she said.
“My whole family will be voting for him,” the woman added.
