Four children have reportedly been wounded on Sunday night during a shooting at a festival in Independence, Missouri. According to Police report, the four victims were rushed to the nearest hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect had fled the scene on foot before Police arrived. NBC-affiliated local broadcaster KSHB reported.

The Independence Police Department dismissed rumors there had been multiple shootings in the area instead of one.
The incident took place around evening at the SantaCaliGon Days Festival. The festival, which usually draws about 300,000 visitors every year, celebrates Independence’s role as the starting point for settlers’ wagon trains heading West in the 19th Century.
