A Florida woman was busted over the weekend after she put a 4-year-old boy inside a laundry dryer and turned the machine on, according to a report.
The 35-year-old woman, Amber Chapman, was apprehended on child abuse charges after the 4-year-old victim told detectives that”Miss Chapman” put him inside a washing machine with some towels, and he “went around and around,” investigators said.
The boy was initially rushed to an emergency room in February with bruising around his eyes, ears, shoulders, and lower back, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told investigators that Chapman, at one point in the circle, opened the door to see if he was alive and then closed it again to resume the punishment.
According to a medical report on the case, the victim’s injuries were found to be consistent with his statements.
Chapman was arrested this past weekend and faced a first-degree charge of aggravated child abuse. She was later freed after posting a $15,000 bond.
A motive for the abuse wasn’t made available.
