A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper became a hero when she used her patrol car to block an out-of-control BMW from barreling into a charity race.
Toni Schuck knew she was the last line of defense when a drunk driving suspect was speeding down I-275 towards a charity run on Tuesday.

Schuck risked her life by deliberately putting herself in harm’s way to prevent a tragedy. She, fortunately, survived the crash and is recovering from injuries at home.

The drunk driver, 52-year-old Kristen Kay Watts, has been charged with DUI and causing serious bodily harm. Watts allegedly breached road barriers set up for the Skywalk 10K involving thousands of runners.

Watch the head-on collision that sent Schuck’s dashcam flying inside the vehicle and badly injuring both drivers.
