Investigators need the community’s assistance in identifying a Florida man who was caught on camera climbing into an Orlando Wendy’s drive-through window and stealing the cash drawer from the register.
According to the Orlando Police Department, the theft occurred on June 18 shortly before 8 a.m. at the fast-food restaurant located at 5503 Major Boulevard.
Investigator said the suspect ordered food in the drive-thru line, went to the window, and when the cashier asked for payment, the suspect threatened him with a gun and told him to give him the money. The employee ran inside the restaurant as the suspect climbed through the window and took the cash drawer, police said.
The suspect drove away eastbound on Vineland Road in a black Nissan Altima.
Police shared surveillance video of the incident on Facebook in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect. Authorities described the suspect as a thin light-skinned Black male, wearing what appeared to be beach or pool attire.
He wore a mask/hooded shirt that covered his face and had on a straw hat, water shoes and board shorts.
