A Florida man has been apprehended and charged with attempted felony murder after allegedly strangling a woman at a bus stop.
27-year-old Aaron Quinones is facing a charge of attempted felony murder after allegedly attempting to strangle a 27-year-old woman at a bus stop in Miami-Dade County on Sunday morning at around 11 a.m.
Following the attack, the Miami-Dade County Police Department released a statement alleging that the woman was waiting for a bus when Quinones began to strangle her from behind with a shoelace.
As the woman tried to defend herself from the attack, Quinones repeatedly beat her, police said. Footage of the attack obtained by Fox News Digital shows that an individual stepped in to stop Quinones from beating the woman.
Quinones fled the scene after the good samaritan’s intervention, according to police. However, the good samaritan was found at the scene when police officers arrived.
Police officers arrested Quinones within the area, and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue treated the female victim on the scene of the incident.
Quinones is being held on a $250,000 bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
