Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have apprehended a man who is accused of removing a motorcycle from a crash scene that belonged to his friend who died following the crash.
According to the FHP, a 35-year-old Orlando man died following the accident that occurred on Sunday shortly before midnight on South Young Parkway near Central Florida Parkway in Orlando. The rider was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators were perplexed to find that the motorcycle on which the victim was riding, a 2015 Yamaha FZ-09, was removed from the scene prior to first responders arriving. Troopers have since apprehended 31-year-old Michael Alexander Cedano Calderon, described as a friend of the crash victim. He has been charged with tampering with evidence and booked into the Orange County Jail.
