Soon after returning from his cross-country road trip without his fiancée, Gabby Petito, Brian purchased a new phone in an AT&T store near his parents’ home in North Port, Fla. The phone is now in the FBI’s possession.
According to investigators, Laundrie’s family purchased the phone the day their son vanished. The family’s attorney, Steve Bertolino, admitted an AT&T account was opened for the phone in Brian Laundrie’s name.
However, the date of the purchase hasn’t been confirmed yet, but authorities believe it was sometime after Laundrie returned home without Petito.
Petito’s body was discovered on Sept. 19 in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Authorities have since determined her death was a homicide.
During the week, Dog the Bounty Hunter came across a Monster energy drink at a new campsite that is believed to be spotted in the handbag of Brian Laundrie’s mom.
A man, in addition to the other two women, said they met and talked to Brian Laundrie days before Gabby Petito’s disappearance. Moreover, this photo of Brian Laundrie with Gabby Petito from the campsite where Dog the Bounty Hunter got tip could also be vital in finding Brian.
A warrant for the fugitive’s arrest was issued last week. Brian left his parents’ home for hiking and hasn’t been seen since then. The warrant accuses Brian of using someone’s debit card and PIN. However, he has not been named a suspect in Petito’s death but was named a person of interest in her case.
