James Crumbley had spoiled his son Ethan Crumbley rotten. He was a deadbeat dad to an older son he had with his ex-wife.
James Crumbley’s ex, Michelle Cobb, called him “a piece of s**t” during an interview, adding that she hopes he “gets the maximum” for his alleged role in the slaughter. Michelle and James have a son together who is now 18-year-old.
In addition, Michelle also called Ethan Crumble’s mother, Jennifer Crumbley, a “monster.” Ethan Crumble, 15, is accused of killing at least four people and injuring seven others when he opened fire at his Oxford, Michigan, high school on Tuesday.
Michelle claims that she had to fight for $67 a week child support for their son Eli, who is 18 years old now, while James Crumbley was earning six figures, she told Detroit’s WXYZ-TV.
“And you know, I cried the moment he turned 18, because I thought all of this hell is over as far as dealing with my son’s father.”
Michelle, who is a Florida native, also claimed that James, 45, left their son, as well as a daughter he had with another woman when he moved to Michigan with Jennifer.
Meanwhile, Jennifer made Eli’s life unbearable whenever he visits his father, Michelle claims, calling Jennifer a monster.
“Jennifer was a monster,” Cobb stated. “She could do no wrong and she was right about everything.”
Eli last visited his father at their Michigan home when the covid-19 pandemic began, Michelle said.
“The first thing that came to my mind when all of this happened was how thankful that I was that my son was not there.”
James and Jennifer Crumbley were apprehended on Saturday morning after they were found hiding out in a commercial building about 50 miles away from their home. The couple was supposed to turn themselves in to face involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with their son’s deadly shooting.
James’ ex also claimed that Ethan is a spoiled child. “They pretty much gave him whatever he wanted,” she said.
Jennifer had posted a photo of the gun her spoiled son Ethan used to kill four students and wound seven other people, including a teacher. Taking to Instagram, Jennifer captioned the photo: “Mom & son day testing out his new Xmas present.” “My first time shooting a 9mm, I hit the bullseye.” Her account has apparently since been deleted.
“I hope they get the maximum, honestly,” Michelle said.
