New York City Mayor Eric Adams is urging New Yorkers who have moved to the State of Florida because of one reason or another to come back as soon as possible.
Adams urged New Yorkers in Florida to come back to the city during a speech at an event promoting a Well Fargo card that enables people to pay their rent with credit cards.
“So everyone who moved to Florida, get your butts back to New York City because New York City is where you want to be,” Adams said from the stage.
Adams was filmed partying with model Cara Delevingne and hip hop artist A$AP Rocky during the event that took place at One Vanderbilt in Manhattan on Monday night.
A new advertisement from Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis highlights fed-up emigrants, including former New Yorkers who have settled in the Sunshine State.
One woman declares during the interview that ” I’m a New Yorker. And now I’m living in Florida.”
When quizzed where her native soil ranks in terms of general freedom, another New York City escapee answered: “I think we’re pretty much at the bottom.” “You number zero,” a DeSantis aide interjected.
