Dramatic video footage shows the moment brave Los Angeles cops rescued a pilot from a crashed plane seconds before Metrolink train slammed into the small plane in Pacoima on Sunday.
The shocking incident occurred just blocks away from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill station on Osborne Street, near the Whiteman Airport, Abc7 reported.
The video shows cops pulling the pilot, who was the sole occupant onboard, from the damaged aircraft moments before the train came crashing in. The LAPD posted body-cam footage of the dramatic incident on social media as it shows the officers pulling the pilot to safety.
According to the LAPD Valley Bureau’s report, the plane had lost power and crashed onto the tracks.
The pilot was transported to the closest hospital in an unknown condition. None of the cops were reported injured, as the incident remains under investigation.
