A tip about a recent sighting of Brian Laundrie near the Appalachian Trail was revealed to Duane Chapman on Sunday. Chapman is currently working on the information to find the fugitive Brian’s location.
Chapman’s daughter, Lyssa Chapman, told the New York Post that she was in contact with a man, Dennis Davis, who claimed he spoke with Brian Saturday morning on a deserted road near the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.
“I do believe Dennis. I am convinced he’s convinced, Lyssa told the Post. We’re doing everything we can to verify Dennis’ tip but there isn’t much to go off other than the location. But we’re working that tip for sure.”
Lyssa, 34, also told the outlet that she had received almost three thousand calls on the 833-TELLDOG hotline during the past week. Since his hunt began a week ago, Chapman was convinced Brain was hiding out on the Appalachian Trail. According to Davis’ tip, which matches Chapman’s, Brian is most likely out there in the wilderness alone.
Chapman and his daughter do not think Brian is hiding in a high technological area because, in this day and age, a lot more footage of him would have emerged. In addition, Brian is believed to be stashed among a community of people who don’t read the news. Moreover, there is also a possibility that he could be traveling solo or with a group that’s helping him.
On Sunday, Chapman continued his search for fugitive Brian in Pinellas County, west-central coast of Florida. He will remain there until he finds concrete proof to look elsewhere. Over the weekend, Chapman shared footage on Twitter in which he can be seen wading through chest-deep water to search an island off the coast of Florida.
There was also a protest outside Brain’s sister, Cassie Luycx’s home n Lakewood Ranch on Sunday. According to a Twitter user, neighbors came out and told protesters that Cassie and her husband James Luycx weren’t home.
