Late actor Chadwick Boseman made history as the first person to bag four Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nominations for his incredible performances in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” and for his supporting role in “Da 5 Bloods.”
Boseman died in September last year of colon cancer at the age of 43. Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods were in post production at the time of his death.
Boseman received his first ever Golden Globe nomination for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom as Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama.
In addition to receiving the Golden Globe nomination, Boseman also was nominated for three other awards including, an NAACP Image Award, a Gotham Award and an Indie Spirit Award for his role in the movie.
