According to records obtained by Fox News, Brian Laundrie’s mother, Roberta, visited a Florida park earlier this month. The Part is about 75 miles north of the family’s home.
When Laundrie disappeared on Sept. 14, his parent remained silent until three days later. On Sept. 19, Laundrie’s 22-year-old girlfriend Gabby Petito was found dead in Wyoming, not far from a site where the couple was last seen camping.
When Duane “Dog” Chapman announced last week that he was entering the search for Laundrie, tips on Laundrie’s whereabouts quickly poured in. Chapman told Fox News on Monday that Brian Laundrie and his parents spent the night twice in Fort De Soto Park in early September from Sept. 1 to 3 and Sept. 6 to 8.
Moreover, Chapman’s suspicion has been confirmed by the documents. The Laundrie indeed camped out at the Fort De Soto Park between the return of their son from out West on Sept. 1 and the day Petito was reported missing, Sept. 11.
In addition, the documents show the family checked in again on the sixth of September and out on the 8th. However, there’s no record of them the week prior on the documents. Laundrie’s attorney, Steven Bertolino, told Fox News that:
“I will no longer give that dog credibility or dignify his false claims with the time of my reply.”
However, Bertolino confirmed to local media that the family went camping on Sept. 6 and 7 and that “they all left the park.” The documents, on the other hand, show the family actually checked out on Sept. 8, three days before Petito was declared missing.
Another campers, Thomas Rutherford and his wife, were celebrating their anniversary at the campground, three spots down from the Laundries. However, Rutherford told Fox News that he had no interaction with the family. Following the records on these documents, Chapman is eager to know why the family would go camping when they haven’t seen Petito, who lived with them, for days. Many concerns were raised in the neighborhood about the camping trip.
Manhunt for Brian Laundrie continues in Florida wetlands after Petito’s funeral
Subsequently, Laundrie was named a person of interest in his girlfriend’s disappearance. In addition, he is also wanted by the FBI for bank card fraud. According to authorities, Laundrie used someone’s Capital One Bank card and PIN when Petito was missing. Neither investigators nor Petito’s parents have revealed whether or not the card belongs to Petito.
Gabby Petito’s death and subsequent disappearance of Brian Laundrie prompted a mom of two to put a $20,000 bounty on his whereabouts.
