A Phoenix, Arizona man has been arrested after being accused of stabbing a woman almost 50 times with a screwdriver.
Joel Wier was arrested on Saturday after law enforcement officers said he used a screwdriver to attack a woman outside Pull N Save near 67th and northern avenues in Glendale.
According to authorities, the victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Also, a responding officer was hospitalized after suffering a torn bicep muscle while tackling Wier during a chase.
