In addition to his murder charges, the 32-old suspect, Jean Robert Macean, accused of murdering a couple in Daytona Beach as they were heading home from bike week, faces a third charge of “illegal immigrant,” according to a local report.
On Tuesday, Wesh2 reported that Macean had been living illegally in the United States. He was moved yesterday from Orange County to Volusia County jail.
Macean was apprehended last week outside of a home on Pointe Vista Circle in Orlando. At about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Macean was booked into the Volusia County Jail. He will stand trial for his crime on two counts of first-degree murder on Wednesday.
Macean is accused of murdering 48-year-old Terry Aultman and 55-year-old Brenda Aultman.
After cops arrested him, Macean confessed to the murders while being questioned by investigators on Thursday night, Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young announced via Twitter.
While no motive can justify what Macean did, he is yet to reveal the reason why he viciously murdered the couple.
