If Doja Cat was a color, she’d be Hot Pink, Cosmopotitan announced Rapper Doja Cat as their November rap cover. Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini shared the cover photos with her 7.6 million followers on Instagram.
“My November Cosmopolitan covers for Croatia, Spain & Middle East!”
You’ve definitely already seen Doja Cat’s burlesque-Broadway performance for the BBMA’s yesterday – she brought fire to the stage. But, what about Doja Cat behind the screen?
“I have a separate character from social media and what you hear on my albums and see in my music videos, for sure.”
“Growing up, I definitely had body dysmorphia. Without a doubt. And I’ve had it since,” Doja told Cosmopolitan. “It started in my teens, which I think is where it starts for a lot of people. I started really growing and I never really thought I looked good in a lot of the stuff I wore. I feel like that song [Juicy] was therapeutic for me. I kind of made it for myself.”
“My next album is done, so we’re kind of just sifting through everything and figuring out what works best together. But other than that, I’m working on some performances too and that’s pretty much it.” The 24-year-old rapper shared.
2020 was a big year for Doja Cat, but with the Grammys just around the corner and her next album ready to drop, we think 2021 is looking pretty Juicy.
