A Florida man is on the run after Orlando police said he broke into a woman’s home, verbally threatened her, and then sexually assaulted her. Orlando police have released a sketch of the suspect on Wednesday.
Investigators said the incident occurred on June 4 in the Carver Shores neighborhood in Orlando.
The woman told investigators that the suspect told her he had a gun and attacked her in her bedroom. Investigators have released a sketch of the alleged suspect and hope someone will recognize him.
“I’m very shocked by it,” said Carver Shores resident Dinah Forest. “I do not like a person taking advantage of a female. It shouldn’t happen to no woman.”
Foreste is now calling on her neighbors to keep an eye out for each other.
“If a person does not belong in this neighborhood, who are you looking for what do you want? If they’re around your house, call the cops. It’s better to be safe than sorry.”
Resident Gee Dunn said everyone should take extra precautions to secure their homes and be safe.
“Make sure you lock your doors, your windows locked, make sure someone is with you or watching you when you go outside.”
Police have not released the exact location of where this happened, just saying the Carver Shores neighborhood. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 right away, and should not approach the man if seen. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
