Three Missouri inmates are on the run after breaking out of their jail last week by cutting holes in the ceilings of their cells, according to U.S. Marshals.
Inmates Lance Stephens, Matthew Crawford and Christopher Blevins escaped from Barry County Jail last Thursday evening. The trio allegedly cut holes in the ceiling, climbed through them and then left by using a maintenance door.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Department says jail officials didn’t realize that the three inmates have escaped until Friday morning. According to jail officials, all three should still be considered armed and dangerous and are believed to be in Kansas.
On Monday this week, The Barry County Sheriff’s Office said the three escaped inmates are believed to have stolen a vehicle and driven to Salina, KS, before abandoning the vehicle and potentially stealing another.
Salina Police told KSN that the vehicle was stolen on Saturday evening between 7:45 and 8:45 p.m. They say it was found in Greeley County, Kan. and that another vehicle was reported missing there, Ozarksfirst reported.
If you have any information as to their whereabouts, you can contact the Barry County Sheriff’s Office at (417) 847-3461 and they will pass the information on to the US Marshals Service.
