A Tennessee woman is back in jail after she allegedly shot a 12-year-old boy a day after she was released on bond on separate criminal charges.
The 35-year-old woman, Latroya Lemons, was busted on Tuesday after she reportedly opened fire from a car at a Memphis home where the boy had been playing last Wednesday, hitting him in the leg, Fox 13 reported.
Lemons was arrested and taken into custody by Memphis police earlier this month for harassment charges after she allegedly threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend. She was jailed and freed on bond on those charges the day before she shot the 12-year-old boy, records show.
A day after being released from jail, Lemons drove to her ex-boyfriend’s home and opened fire. Witnesses identified Lemons as the shooter who fired five shots from a gray Cadillac, according to Fox 13.
She is facing multiple fresh charges, including six counts of aggravated assault, six counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and four counts of violating bail conditions. She is currently being held on a $500,000 bond, according to the outlet.
