A Florida woman strangled her two kids to death this week and called police to come and get them saying she doesn’t want them anymore, according to a report.
The 41-year-old mom, Odette Joaossaint, called 911 multiple times before police officers arrived at her Miami home for a welfare check Tuesday night, according to the Miami Herald.
“Come get them,” Odette told responding officers about the dead kids upon their arrival, according to the outlet. “I don’t want them.”
Arriving medics and cops found two children lying unresponsive on the ground with their hands tied up inside the home and desperately tried to revive them.
According to an arrest report, Odette told officers that she tied up the two kids, ages 5 and 3, before using a red ribbon to strangle them.
When asked why she committed such a heinous crime, Odette told detectives that she was struggling financially and mentally and that the children were suffering under her care.
Both kids, Laural Belval, 5, and Jeffrey Belval, 3, were declared dead at the scene.
Joaossaint faces two charges of first-degree murder for the heinous crime that left veteran cops shaken.
A neighbor told reporters that the troubled mother sometimes begged her to adopt the doomed kids and said she could not handle raising them.
The victims’ devastated father showed up Wednesday but declined to speak to reporters.
