An OnlyFans model fatally stabbed her boyfriend in their residence in Miami, Florida – before vulgar content was posted on her social media page.
Social media influencer Courtney Clenney, 25, was arrested and later taken to a mental health facility after killing her 27-year-old boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, according to authorities.
Deputies said they received a call from Clenney reporting that she had stabbed her boyfriend on Sunday around 5 in the evening inside their luxury apartment in Miami. Upon arrival, officers found the victim stabbed once in the shoulder.
Obumseli was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. Officers said domestic argument caused the violence.
“We know that there was a physical altercation between them before he was stabbed,” a Miami PD spokesperson said.
The couple’s mutual friends told a local news outlet that intense arguments were common in Clenney and Obumseli’s relationship.
“We’ve seen her hit him,” Ashley Vaughn said. “I’ve never seen him hit her.”
According to close friends, Obumseli had recently moved to his girlfriend’s house located in the Edgewater neighborhood of Miami. Nearby neighbors have reported the couple’s long history of domestic disputes in which local police often had to get involved.
Officers said Clenney threatened to kill herself at the police station following the stabbing death of her boyfriend. Cops said the threat escalated to an evaluation, causing her to be “Baker Acted.”
Florida’s Baker Act law allows law enforcement, as well as doctors, mental health professionals, and judges, to commit a person to a mental health treatment center for up to 72 hours if certain violent or suicidal tendencies are displayed.
It is unclear when Clenney will be released from the mental institution. Though she was arrested on April 3, racy content was somehow still posted on Clenney’s OnlyFans account on April 4, according to the SUN.
Clenney is not facing any criminal charges for her boyfriend’s death at the moment. The victim’s family has already raised $64k through a GoFundMe page, which stated that Obumseli was killed just one week before turning 28.
“Christian was extremely compassionate with a desire always to uplift those around him,” the GoFundMe organizer wrote.
The investigation into Obumseli’s death is still ongoing.
