The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has shared photos and footage of four individuals suspected in the killing of a 73-year-old woman on Monday afternoon in Mid-City.
The elderly victim was identified by her family members as Linda Frickey, of Waggaman. The tragedy was initially reported as carjacking but when deputies arrived at the scene, they found the victim unresponsive on the ground with her arms ripped off from her body. The woman was declared dead on the scene by EMS.
The suspects apparently dragged the victim far from her vehicle after carjacking her. Following a probe into the incident, investigators believe the suspects caught on surveillance video are responsible for the gruesome murder.
