A heroic German Shepard found on a New Hampshire highway led cops to its owner, who was involved in a car crash on Monday night, authorities said.
New Hampshire State Police said they thought the pooch, named Tinsley, was lost after witnesses found it on Interstate 89 in Lebanon at about 10 p.m. On the contrary, Tinsley was looking for someone to help its owner.
When Tinsley was approached by a state trooper and Lebanon police officers, the dog kept heading north on the highway and crossed into Vermont, leading the officers to a wrecked pickup truck that rolled over near the Interstate 91 and Interstate 89 junction.
Two occupants were then found seriously wounded and suffering from hypothermia after being ejected from the crashed vehicles, state police said.
One of the occupants supprisenly turned out to be Tinsley’s owner. The victims were rushed to a local hospital. The dog suffered no injuries, police said.
