On Sunday, a ninth child was discharged from the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin after being treated for wounds suffered in the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy.
One week after the tragedy, a total of seven children are currently recovering in the hospital. Six people were killed, and over 60 others were injured after a crazed driver plowed through revelers at an annual Christmas celebration in the Milwaukee suburb.
According to doctors, three of the children were reported to be in critical condition, three in fair condition, and one is in stable condition.
The tragedy occurred in Waukesha last week when 39-year-old career criminal Darrell Brooks allegedly drove into the crowd using a red Ford Escape.
Prior to this recent attack, Brooks had been out on bail earlier this month after allegedly running over his girlfriend with the SUV.
Brooks was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the attack. In addition, he will be hit with a sixth charge following the death of the 8-year-old Jackson Sparks, who happened to be the youngest victim and had been in critical condition after the attack.
