A water bottle found near where Brian Laundrie’s bones were discovered has been turned over to local police.
The finding fueled viral speculation among social media users after a TikToker claimed to have discovered the bottle in the Carlton Reserve because it looked the same as the one seen in video and images posted by Brian’s slain girlfriend, Gabby Petito.
Josh Taylor, a spokesman for the North Port Police Department, told The New York Post that the water bottle is in the police’s possession and is being reviewed.
TikToker Olivia Vitale posted a video that shows the moment the bottle was Found. She was filming while walking through the grass during the search.
A similar water bottle was spotted in photos shared by Gabby from her ill-fated cross-country trip with Brain.
Brian returned alone to his parents’ Florida home from that aborted trip without his girlfriend on September 1st. Gabby was reported missing by her mother on September 11 and was found dead in a Wyoming park eight days later. A coroner later revealed she was strangled to death.
