A private investigator is adamant Gabby Petito could have been strangled to death after reviewing the bodycam footage of Gabby and Brian recently. Utah police captured the footage during a fight between the couple.
The suggestion comes ahead of a virtual press conference that is scheduled for today, in which the Teton County coroner will reveal Gabby Petito’s cause of death. Gabby’s death has been ruled a homicide; however, authorities have not released details about what factors lead to her death.
The conference will be held today at 12:30 p.m. MT, where Gabby’s cause of death is believed to be revealed. Jason Jenson, a Salt Lake City-based investigator, told Fox News Digital that he is persuaded Gabby Petito may have died from asphyxiation. Jenson’s suggestion is based on Gabby’s body language that was captured in bodycam footage from Moab, Utah, on August 12
Gabby told Utah police that Brian grabbed her face during a domestic dispute between the pair. ‘I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s manual strangulation,’ Jenson claimed.
‘I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s choked her before. Any victim that’s been choked before—their natural reaction is to lower their chin to their clavicle to prevent that hand from going around their throat,’ Jenson said.
Although it was determined that Gabby was a victim of homicide, Brent Blue, the coroner, did not share any cause of death. The FBI is currently working to find Brian, who disappeared after his girlfriend was reported missing.
