United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg announces that he and his husband, Chasten, have welcomed adorable twins. Being the first openly gay presidential Cabinet member to be confirmed by the Senate, Buttigieg shared the news via social medial on Saturday.
Buttigieg took to Twitter and shared a black and white photo of him and his husband smiling at each other while curdling the babies. Buttigieg revealed the babies’ names to be Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg.
“Chasten and I are beyond thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we’re becoming parents, Buttigieg wrote on Twitter. We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family.”

On August 17, Buttigieg first broke the news of he and Buttigieg becoming parents. However, he asserted the process wasn’t done yet at the time – and promised to reveal more details as soon as they are done with the process.
