Queen Elizabeth is calling for unity ahead of Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s long awaited interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In a new Commonwealth address, the Queen, 94, will issue an important statement about unity and togetherness ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey. The royal family’s senior members will assemble for the annual Commonwealth day of service Sunday.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, the Queen, according to the UK Mirror, will reportedly share a specially recorded message for televised program, “A Celebration For Commonwealth Day,”.
The Queen will be joined by senior members of the royal family including Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie Wessex. The Queen’s message about unity will air on BBC One on Sunday at 5 p.m. UK time, eight hours ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s CBS interview with Oprah, which is scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. US time.
Ahead of the The Queen’s message of unity and the Oprah interview, US TV host Sunny Hostin has urged members of the Royal Family to immediately issue a public apology to Meghan Markle for failing to protect the Duchess of Sussex from racist media attacks as well as the racial abuses she has suffered in the United Kingdom.
