Serena Williams introduces her 2021 Australian Open new outfit. Being a champion is not just about lifting trophies, it is about making history time and again. It has been obvious that Williams, 39, is both a sport and style star, as the only thing she does best more than Tennis is picking memorable outfits. Tennis fans always count on Williams to make a damn-good fashion statement while dominating the tennis court. And she has never left fans disappointed with her directional outfits.
The 23 Grand Slam singles titles winner again left fans in awe when she took the court wearing a colorful, asymmetrical, one-legged catsuit as she made her 2021 Australian Open debut. She later told ESPN that the outfit was inspired by the late track and field athlete Florence Griffith Joyner.
“I was inspired by Flo-Jo, who was a wonderful track athlete, amazing athlete when I was growing up,” Williams told the ESPN.”Watching her fashion, just always changing, her outfits were always amazing. This year we thought of what can we do to keep elevating the Serena Williams on the court. The Nike team actually thought of this design of inspiration from Flo-Jo. I was like, ‘Oh, my god, this is so brilliant.'”
While celebrating her new outfit, we have also not forgotten about her 2019 Australian Open outfit that featured white and black stripes and a triangular cutout in the back.
