The seven member K-pop boy band has been on top for some years now. BTS is one of the most popular groups in the K-pop industry today. You might wonder why the group is that popular especially in America. Well, the simple reason among others is because of the subject of their music. While many K-pop bands only focus on relationships and love in their songs, BTS covers subjects like bullying, elitism, and mental health. They have been praised for their ability to be relatable, humble and entertaining. They have so much emotion in their voices and it portrays a story. Especially V. He just has so much emotion in his voice whether it’s a sad song or a happy song.
2. Stray Kids

The Stray Kids band of eight members is rapidly climbing to the top. They might have started two years ago but the Kids have their own pace. Originally a nine member group, member Woojin left Stray Kids due to undisclosed personal reasons in 2019. The group does not have only talented singers, dancers, and rappers, but also some of the hottest guys in K-pop.

GOT7 is undeniably one of the most talented global K-pop band fans have ever known. One of the many things fans like about GOT7 is the bond between the band members. They’re like a family. They all hail from different backgrounds and cultures, Mark is from the US, Bam Bam from Thailand and Jackson from Hong Kong. GOT7 is highly praised for its hip-hop leanings and the way it incorporated martial arts into its work.

- Members: The group is composed of 13 members divided into three sub-units, each with a different area of specialization: ‘Hip-Hop Unit’, ‘Vocal Unit’, and ‘Performance Unit’.
All 13 members of Seventeen are talented in their own ways. For instance on stage, they get 4 rappers, 5 vocals and 4 dancers. They are a self producing group. Their vocals and rapping have been widely praised by fans worldwide. BTS might be very popular right now, but I genuinely think that Seventeen has way more talented vocals.
6. ATEEZ

Another group to make it to number six on the list is ATEEZ also known as the Rookie boy group. The group only formally debuted in November 2018 but have gained such international attention that is too high to ignore. ATEEZ which consists of eight members is recipients of the Next Generation Award at the 2019 Golden Disc Awards, as well as being named Worldwide Fans’ Choice at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism named the group: “4th Generation Leaders” in 2020.
7. SF9

SF9’s lead single “Good Guy” from their first Korean studio album, First Collection, has won them many accolades including “Best Dance – Male” at the Melon Music Awards, marking their first ever MMA nomination. SF9 members are known for their dynamic stage presence, experimental sound, and crazy sense of humor.
8. MONSTA X

Monsta X’s first English album, All About Luv, ranked number five on the US Billboard 200 in February last year. MONSTA X members have a very powerful and sexy choreography, to be exact. Monsta X has one of the best rap lines in k-pop. Members Jooheon and I.M are on another level. They also have better choreo that shows off their dance skills better. All seven of them can sing well, and Kihyun is an amazing vocalist, one of the best in k-pop as well.
9. WINNER

Winner earned the name ‘Trust and Listen‘ among the general public of South Korea for creating quality music with their audience in mind. That’s to say, by the mention of the name ‘Winner’ audience will willingly listen without complaint. That is awesome. Winner also earned the term ‘Kings of Summer‘ for their positively received releases with upbeat tunes of various genres in correlation to the summer heat. Winner has also contributed to choreographing the majority of their songs, particularly member Lee Seung-hoon. Young and upcoming K-pop idols often cited Winner as role models they look up to for inspiration.
10. Astro

- Members: MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, Moon Bin, Rocky and Yoon San-ha
Astro has a good variety of talent among its six members. Apart from their talents, Astro members are known to be kind towards their fans. They won the heart of millions by holding a live show online ‘2020 ASTRO’ to communicate with fans in a new way. Astro also released a special digital single “We Still (Be With U)” as a special ‘thank you gift‘ to their fans.
