Beyoncé and Jay Z’s eight years old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, has become the youngest winner of a BET Award when she won the BET HER Award in 2020 for her collaboration on “Brown Skin Girl”, a hit single by Carter, her mother Beyoncé, WizKid and Saint Jhn. She has reportedly won an NAACP Image Award for the same song.
Carter’s grandma, Tina Knowles, took to Instagram on Thursday to celebrate her talented granddaughter for her early achievement.
“Congratulations to my beautiful talented granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter. She won a Soul Train Award for video of the year! She is only 8 years old.” Tina wrote in the caption.
Dubbed the “Princess of pop” by Rolling Stone, Carter has lived her life in the spotlight from birth. She has been the subject of depictions in media, including impersonations on Saturday Night Live and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
