English professional footballer, Albert Quixall, who played as an inside-forward for Manchester United from 1958 to 1964, died today Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 87.
The Manchester United Club broke the new in a heartbreaking tweet on Thursday.
“Manchester United is deeply saddened to learn that our former player Albert Quixall has passed away, at the age of 87.”

“The skilful forward made 184 appearances and scored 56 goals between 1958 and 1964.”
“Everyone at United sends their sincere condolences to Albert’s family and friends at this sad time.”
Quixall joined Manchester United in September 1958 for a then British record fee of £45,000. Quixall’s only medal with the club was the 1963 FA Cup. Altogether, he scored 56 goals in 184 games for the Red Devils.
