Rising tides swept away a set of adorable twins as their parents tried to escape this weekend’s deadly flash floods in Tennessee. According to the Associate Press, 22 people died over the weekend in the Middle Tennessee area.
According to the source, dozen more people are still missing after parts of the state experienced record-breaking rainfall.
The 7-month-old twins Ryan and Rileigh from Waverly happen to be among the 22 victims that died over the weekend.
The babies’ grandmother, Angie Willeby tells a source that they were swept away by floodwaters in Waverly, a community that was hit particularly hard.
The bodies of the babies were eventually found following an intensive search, according to the source. May their souls rest in perfect peace.
