A 5-year old Georgia girl was gruesomely murdered after her mom was paid by a man to have sex with the young child, law enforcement officials claimed.
The 35-year-old mother, Kelly Siple, faces charges of murder in addition to human trafficking for the death of her 5-year-old daughter Kamarie Holand. Siple, however, has tearfully denied involvement and called the child “my life” during a TV interview.
“I’m a mommy – I did not have nothing to do with this,” she said. “She was my life. I lived for her. She was my only girl. I have three boys and her.”
The 37-year-old man, Jeremy Williams, paid Siple to have sex with her daughter before raping and strangling the young child to death, according to WRBL-TV‘s report on Friday, citing court records.
On December 13, Siple reported her daughter missing, claiming she found her front door open when she woke up at her home in Columbus, Ga. Later that day, the child was found dead in an empty house in Phenix City, Ala., where Williams once resided.
Prior to a court-issued gag order on the case, police told WRBL that Siple had a relationship with Williams. According to reports, Williams, who has previously been accused of child abuse, may face more charges.
Siple donated her daughter’s toys to WTVM-TV for the station’s annual toy drive two days after the girl’s murder. She said the girl would’ve wanted to donate her toys “because she was a very helping child.”
After Siple’s arrest, the child’s father, Corey Holland, issued a statement to WRBL calling Siple a monster.
“She’s a monster,” Corey Holland said in the statement. “A real mother protects and would die for her children … My family and I will continue to wrestle with the loss of losing our angel Kamarie. We will ask that you continue to make your news about her and the justice she deserves.”
Following Kamarie’s murder, Columbus’ Assistant Police Chief Joyce Dent-Fitzpatrick urged parents to please monitor where their kids are and who they are around, adding that the case has struck a nerve for local law enforcement.
