A four-year-old boy is dead in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after he allegedly found a firearm inside his home and accidentally shot himself with it, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
The tragic incident happened on Prescott Road around 6 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The child accidentally shot himself while playing with the weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said.
No arrest was immediately made as the incident is still under investigation.
Details about the child’s parents are limited at this time.
